Underscoring the political theme of his current Land of Hope & Dreams Tour, Bruce Springsteen has released a digital EP that is titled Land of Hope & Dreams and that features live material from his tour-opening show, May 14 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.

Describing, at this show, the Trump administration as “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous,” and calling for his fans to “raise your voices against authoritarianism,” Springsteen drew the attention, and the ire, of the President himself. In social media posts, Trump has responded by calling Springsteen “highly overrated” and “just a pushy, obnoxious jerk” and pledging to call for a “major investigation” into Springsteen’s campaign support of Kamala Harris — without offering any evidence or rational explanation of wrongdoing.
Springsteen and the E Street Band did not cut the political content out of their next two tour stops, also in Manchester. They will perform, next, May 24 and 27 at Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille, France.
