Bruce Springsteen will reportedly do eight-week Broadway run

The New York Post is reporting that Bruce Springsteen will play concerts at the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway for eight weeks this fall. He’ll be doing “a pared-down version of the set he usually performs in huge arenas and stadiums all over the world,” reporter Michael Riedel writes.

According to Riedel, there will be five shows a week at the 975-seat theater, possibly beginning in November.

The newspaper posted the story on its web site at noon today.

Keep in mind that nothing has officially been announced about this. But if it happens, it will be something unique in Springsteen’s history, and the tickets will likely be hard to come by.

The entire capacity for a 40-date run, after all, would be less than the attendance at one Springsteen show at MetLife Stadium.

    • Thanks for sharing this. I’m sure we were all waiting to hear whether Jacqueline liked Springsteen. However I think the intention of the comments was to find out what Springsteen fans think about this, not that Jacqueline doesn’t like him. I do look forward to hearing from her about everything else she doesn’t like…
