Christmas comes early as Springsteen plays ‘Santa Claus’ in Ireland (WATCH VIDEO)

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band performed in Cork, Ireland, May 16.

“Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” made a rare late-spring appearance in a Bruce Springsteen setlist when The Boss played it, as a sign request, at his May 16 concert at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, Ireland.

“222 days before Christmas: Are you ready? Have you been good?,” Springsteen asked the crowd.

Other notable numbers in the show included covers of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 1970 hit “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” to open (in response to the damp weather conditions in the outdoor venue) and The Pogues’ “A Rainy Night in Soho” (in tribute to the band’s late frontman, Shane MacGowan); and rarely played songs such as “Youngstown,” “Seeds,” “Light of Day” and “Darlington County.” Check out videos of “Who’ll Stop the Rain” and “A Rainy Night in Soho” below.
