Coldplay will bring its Music of the Spheres World Tour to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on June 4, with H.E.R. opening. Tickets go on sale Oct. 22 at 10 a.m., with a verified fan pre-sale beginning Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. Visit Ticketmaster.com.

(OCT. 22 UPDATE: A June 5 show has been added, and will go on sale at the same time.)

There will also be a show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, June 8.

The band’s Music of the Spheres album comes out on Oct. 15.

The tour is currently scheduled to run from March to September, with shows in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Mexico before North American and European dates, and then a final show in Brazil. All dates are at coldplay.com/tour.

The band announced in a press release that is is undertaking various environmental initiatives with this tour, including cutting direct emissions by 50 percent compared to its last tour; powering the show “entirely by renewable, super-low emission energy — with solar installations at every venue, waste cooking oil, a kinetic stadium floor and kinetic bikes powered by fans”; planting one tree for every ticket sold; and more.

The band said in the press release: “we’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour’s potential to push things forward. We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn. It’s a work in progress and we’re really grateful for the help we’ve had so far.”
