The Stress Factory in New Brunswick — which, like every other New Jersey nightclub, closed its doors in March — began presenting outdoor comedy shows in June. And it is continuing with major acts such as Chelsea Handler, Michael Che and Dave Attell booked for later this month, and next month.
As far as I know, this is the only New Jersey comedy club that is currently presenting regular shows.
Starting with Big Jay Oakerson’s shows this week, the comedians will perform under a large tent, whose construction the club has been documenting on its Facebook page.
Here is the schedule, as it currently stands:
July 25: Big Jay Oakerson
July 26: Anthony Rodia, Goumba Johnny
July 30-31 and Aug. 1: Michael Che
Aug. 6-8: Chris Distefano
Aug. 13-15: Chelsea Handler
Aug. 22-23: Andrew Schulz
Aug. 28-29: Dave Attell
Sept. 17-19: Mark Normand
