Convention Hell concert in Asbury Park couldn’t be less conventional

Asbury Park’s Convention Hall will host a Convention Hell concert, Oct. 28.

The third annual Convention Hell concert will take place at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, Oct. 28 (the Saturday night before Halloween). New Jersey artists will masquerade as other artists, including Soundgarden (as a tribute to the late Chris Cornell).

The lineup will include:

• Remember Jones as JuggalOtis Redding (yes, a mashup of Insane Clown Posse and Otis Redding music).

• The Matt Wade Band as Parliament/Funkadelic.

• Members of The Black Clouds, Lower the Veil, Cycle of Pain and Shut Up as Soundgarden.
 
• Des & the Swagmatics as Chaka Khan.

• The Shady Street Show Band as The B-52s.

• Rick Barry (full band) as Counting Crows.

• Dentist as The Ramones.

The show will also include DJ sets by Princes of Tides and Tyler Valentine.
