BRUCE “COUSIN BRUCIE” MORROW

Veteran DJ Bruce “Cousin Brucie” Morrow will present a “Palisades Park Reunion” concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m., with Frankie Avalon, Jay Siegel’s Tokens, Brian McIntosh’s Drifters and Norman Fox & the Rob-Roys.

To request tickets, call (732) 442-9200.

The show is free, although donations to the Garden State Arts Foundation will be welcomed. The foundation has been presenting free classical, jazz and pop shows such as this one at the PNC Bank Arts Center (originally known as the Garden State Arts Center) since 1999.

A radio mainstay in the New York area since the 1960s, Morrow can currently be heard from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays on “Cousin Brucie’s Saturday Night Rock & Roll Party” on WABC (770 AM and 107.1 FM).

Singer-actor and former teen idol Avalon’s major late-’50s pop hits included “Venus,” “Why,” “DeDe Dinah,” “Just Ask Your Heart” and “Ginger Bread.”

There is seating; you don’t bring your own chair. I assume they have a wheelchair section but you may want to make sure you have access in advance. I’d recommend calling the Garden State Arts Foundation, which is presenting the show, at (732) 442-9200. They can tell you how to proceed.

Does each ticket have a reserved seat? Will lawn seating be required?

Reply
njartsdaily@gmail.com August 19, 2022 - 1:20 pm

I don’t think there is reserved seating. And I would think the lawn would be used only if all seats are filled. But I’m not totally sure. Always best to call Garden State Arts Foundation at (732) 442-9200 for questions such as these.

Can’t thank you guys & gals enough for presenting these shows. It’s great seeing the music you love by some rather talented old artists who can still do it well.
Please keep doing it and we’ll keep donating to help fund these shows.
