SAMANTHA FISH

Blues-rocker Samantha Fish, who recently headlined The Morristown Jazz and Blues Festival, will return to New Jersey next year as one of the performers at the 33rd annual Crawfish Fest, which will take place at The Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, May 29-31.

Tickets will go on sale Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.; visit Crawfish Fest.

Joining Fish — a Kansas City native who has lived in New Orleans since 2017 — will be The Rebirth Brass Band, Kenny Neal, Cowboy Mouth, Bonerama, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. & the Zydeco Twisters, The Rumble featuring Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr., John Papa Gros, The Honey Island Swamp Band, Amanda Shaw, The Nth Power, The Joe Krown Trio +1, Papa Mali, The Johnny Sansone Band, The Soul Project NOLA, The Ocean Avenue Stompers and Yarn, plus others TBA.

The festival is devoted to Louisiana food — boiled crawfish, jambalaya, po’ boy sandwiches and more — as well as Louisiana music, and will also feature overnight camping on May 29-30, with late-night music for campers and VIPs only.

Louisiana native Michael Arnone began presenting annual New Jersey Crawfish Fests in 1989. Because of the pandemic, there were no Crawfish Fests in 2020 or 2021, but it returned in 2022 and then again this May and June.
