DJ LOGIC
DJ Logic & Friends — featuring the experimental turntablist with Brazilian-American percussionist Cyro Baptista, drummer Billy Martin (of the band Medeski, Martin & Wood), pianist Brian Marsella and bassist Jason Fraticelli — will be among the artists performing in this summer’s free Wellmont Arts Plaza Outdoor Concert Series, outside The Wellmont Theater in Montclair.

June 1, noon-4 p.m.: “Swingin’ on the Plaza” (Montclair Jazz Festival Kick-Off Concert, artists TBA)
June 7, 7 p.m.: “Montclair Jam Fest” with Waterbury Road
June 12, 5:30 p.m.: Montclair Jazz Festival Soundcheck Series (artist TBA)
June 25, 7 p.m.: DJ Logic & Friends
July 9, 7 p.m.: Grateful for Biggie (fusion of The Notorious B.I.G. and The Grateful Dead)
July 15, 7 p.m.: Big Something
July 30, 7 p.m.: Montclair Jazz Festival Soundcheck Series (artist TBA)
Aug. 7, 7 p.m.: Glass Houses (Billy Joel tribute), All Fired Up (Pat Benatar tribute)
Aug. 16, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Jazz House Kids summer workshop showcase
Aug. 20, 7 p.m.: Montclair Jazz Festival Soundcheck Series (artist TBA)
Sept. 13: Montclair Jazz Festival Downtown Jamboree and Block Party (artists and hours TBA)
The series is produced by The Wellmont Theater in collaboration with Jazz House Kids and The New Jersey Hall of Fame.
