Dozens will perform at Jersey Shore Online Music Festival, Memorial Day weekend

Jersey Shore Online Music Festival

The Jersey Shore Online Music Festival takes place on Facebook, May 23-25.

“Keeping the Jersey shore music scene alive through challenging times” is the motto of the Jersey Shore Online Music Festival, which will offer sets by about 60 musicians, March 23-25 (Memorial Day weekend). You can see the set times below.

The festival was organized by James Casserly, who created the NJ Shore Musicians “Stay at Home” Live Music group on Facebook; it has been a place to share new videos made by shore musicians throughout the pandemic. You can check it out here.

The musicians will stream the performances on their own Facebook pages, and the “Stay at Home” page will offer links and watch parties. Three to five acts will perform at the same time, “like a festival’s different stages,” Casserly said.

Money will be raised for Lunch Break, a Red Bank-based organization that provides food, clothing and fellowship to those in need.

“After two months of lockdown, it’s great to be able to reunite as a band, connect with our fans and help out a good charity at the same time!,” said Kurt Reil of The Grip Weeds, who will perform May 24 at 8:30 p.m.

Pat Guadagno will perform in the Jersey Shore Online Music Festival, May 23 at 3 p.m.
