Mary Fahl of the band October Project, blues singer-songwriter Davy Knowles, the New Orleans-based Soul Project NOLA and Luther Dickinson of The North Mississippi Allstars will be among the featured artists in Woodbridge’s annual free summer concert series, which always is among the best in the state.
There will be national acts on Wednesdays, local bands on Thursdays, country music on Sundays, oldies on Mondays and tribute bands on Tuesdays, plus “Fun Fridays.”
The Wednesday shows will take place at Parker Press Park. Thursday concerts will be at Herbert Rankin Park in Sewaren, and Sunday and Friday shows will be at Anchors Tiki Bar in Sewaren. The Woodbridge High School Concert Field will be the site for the Monday and Tuesday concerts.
In addition to these shows, there will be a free, all-day Woodbridge Summerfest, on Sat., June 6 at Merrill Park in Iselin, with Eagles and Woodstock tribute bands, among other groups, plus food trucks, a beer garden, children’s activities, and a drone show at dusk
