The Gaslight Anthem will reunite and play ‘The ’59 Sound’ at Governors Ball

The Gaslight Anthem will perform “The ’59 Sound” in its entirety at the Governors Ball Music Festival in June.

The Gaslight Anthem, which went on hiatus on 2015, will reunite for at least one show the year, performing their 2008 breakthrough album The ’59 Sound in its entirety at the eighth annual Governors Ball Music Festival, taking place June 1-3 at Randalls Island in New York.

It has not yet been announced if the Jersey-based band has any other activity planned for this year. The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon is scheduled to release a solo album, Sleepwalkers, on Feb. 9, and has a tour scheduled with his other current band The Howling Weather scheduled from late March until early May. They will perform on April 29 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville.

Other Governors Ball performers will include Eminem, Jack White, Travis Scott, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Halsey, N.E.R.D., Khalid, CHVRCHES, Post Malone, Silk City (Diplo + Mark Ronson), Lil Uzi Vert, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Maggie Rogers, 2 Chainz, Japandroids, The Menzingers, Third Eye Blind, Wolf Alice, The Struts and Manchester Orchestra.
