Hank Azaria will sing Bruce Springsteen songs in New York, Aug. 1.

The Emmy-winning, Tony-nominated actor Hank Azaria, who is best known for his work on “The Simpsons,” will sing Bruce Springsteen songs with his EZ Street Band at the New York nightclub (le) poisson rouge, Aug. 1. For tickets and information, visit lpr.com.

Proceeds will benefit Azaria’s Four Through Nine Foundation, which supports social justice, education and recovery causes.

“I’ve never worked harder preparing for any role than I did in perfecting a singing vocal impression of Bruce Springsteen,” Azaria says on the show’s page on the (le) poisson rouge web site.

The site also says that Azaria has performed his Springsteen tribute before, in a 90-minute, 11-song set at City Winery, and that E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg sat in.

“Additional tour dates coming soon,” says a message on the EZ Street Band’s Instagram page.

Azaria has done the voices for Moe, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Comic Book Guy and other “Simpsons” characters. His many other credits include the movies “Quiz Show,” “Heat,” “The Birdcage” and “Godzilla”; the TV series “Mad About You,” “Friends,” “Ray Donovan” and “Huff”; the TV film “Tuesdays With Morrie”; and the Broadway shows “Spamalot” and “The Farnsworth Invention.”
