Jack Johnson and Incubus will co-headline major Asbury Park festival

The Sea.Hear.Now Festival takes place in Asbury Park, Sept. 29-30.

New Jersey has a major new music festival: Sea.Hear.Now, a musically eclectic event taking place on three stages on the North Beach of Asbury Park and in the city’s Bradley Park, Sept. 29-30.

Jack Johnson and Incubus will co-headline, with other acts including Social Distortion, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, Brandi Carlile, Milky Chance, Blondie, Kaleo, The Front Bottoms, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, Highly Suspect, SOJA, The Menzingers, Langhorne Slim, G. Love and Special Sauce, Deer Tick, Twin Peaks, Rayland Baxter, Nicole Atkins, Carl Broemel (of My Morning Jacket), Jesse Malin, The Parlor Mob, The Battery Electric, The Tangiers Blues Band and Deal Casino.

According to a press release, the festival will also include “unique art and surf culture experiences. Legendary rock photographer, filmmaker and Jersey Shore native Danny Clinch will recreate his Transparent Gallery space and showcase his collection of iconic images of artists on the lineup.”

Professional surfers such as Sam Hammer, Balaram Stack, Rob Kelly, Mike Gleason and Quincy Davis will also be participating.

“Sea.Hear.Now is a long time dream of ours: To have our musician, surfer and artist friends come to Asbury Park this September to play some music, ride some waves and make some art,” Clinch said in the press release.

Tickets will go on sale April 5 at 10 a.m.; visit seahearnowfestival.com.
