Jay Weinberg performed with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band in Barcelona, June 22.

At Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band’s concert today at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, drummer Jay Weinberg took over for his father, Max, on one song, “Radio Nowhere.” You can watch a video of it, below.

Springsteen last performed this song in 2017, and Jay Weinberg last played with the band in 2013 (also on “Radio Nowhere”). “Radio Nowhere” was a staple of Springsteen’s setlists in 2009, when Jay Weinberg took over for his father (who had a commitment to lead the house band of “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien”) for a substantial portion of the E Street tour.

Other notable songs in the setlist included “Reason to Believe,” “My Love Will Not Let You Down” (to open), “Waitin’ on a Sunny Day” and “Racing in the Street.”

Jay Weinberg currently plays for the band Suicidal Tendences and previously has played with Slipknot, Against Me! and Madball.

Springsteen’s next show will be on June 27, in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
