John Fogerty/George Thorogood tour coming to Holmdel and Camden

John Fogerty and George Thorogood.

John Fogerty will be touring with George Thorogood & the Destroyers this summer, with stops including The Freedom Pavilion Center in Camden, June 7; and The PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, June 15. Tickets go on sale March 15 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning March 12 at 10 a.m. Visit

The shows will be part of Fogerty’s Celebration Tour, which is being advertising as “celebrating his songs from Creedence Clearwater Revival.”

Fogerty said in a press release, “George and I have done shows together before but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together. This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now!”

Thorogood said: “Celebrating the music of John Fogerty at the same time we celebrate (The Destroyers’) 50th Anniversary is just about as good as it can get. I’m looking forward to being out there with my friend, John!”

The band Hearty Har, featuring Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler, will open the shows and also back Fogerty.

The Destroyers include drummer Jeff Simon, bassist Billy Blough, guitarist Jim Suhler and saxophonist/pianist Buddy Leacher. Simon is a co-founder of the band, and the other three have all been members for more than 20 years.
