JEFF RUSNAK

Henry Rollins at City Gardens in Trenton. Date unknown.

Jeff Rusnak, a lifelong Mercer County resident, was a musician, a Princeton Record Exchange employee and a photographer who took, literally, tens of thousands of photos at the concerts he attended from the 1970s to the 2010s. He died in 2016, and some of his photos are currently being shown at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. They have never been shown in public before.

The exhibit, titled “Something Going On,” features photos of Henry Rollins performing at City Gardens in Trenton, and Ween at John and Peter’s in New Hope, Pa. These two can be seen in the gallery below, along with photos of David Bowie, Heart, Genesis, Chuck Berry, Joe Strummer, The B-52’s and Devo, at unknown locations.

Also in the exhibit are photos of Elvis Costello, Frank Zappa, Stevie Nicks, Jello Biafra, Peter Gabriel, The Who, Talking Heads, Adam Ant, The Ramones, Flaming Lips, Yes, John Cale, Annie Golden and Gary Numan.

The exhibit opened on Oct. 3 and the closing date has not been announced yet. But even then, the photographs will remain in the hall’s Library & Archives, where they can be seen in their entirety, by appointment (email library@rockhall.org).
