Light of Day partners with Parkinson’s Foundation for educational forum (with some music, too)

Parkinson’s in the Light of Day will take place in Edison, April 13.

The Light of Day Foundation, which raises money for Parkinson’s Disease research through its annual festival and other events, is partnering with The Parkinson’s Foundation to present a free educational forum for people newly diagnosed with the disease, and their families. It is titled “Parkinson’s in the Light of Day” and will take place on April 13 at the Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center in Edison.

The forum will give those diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the last three years an opportunity to connect with others in the Parkinson’s community, hear experts speak, and learn about resources resources that are available to them. There will also be Parkinson’s-specific activities and exercise, and acoustic music by Joe D’Urso and Joe Grushecky, who are both Light of Day Foundation board members.

Registration and a complimentary breakfast begins at 9 p.m., with the program running from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A complimentary lunch will also be offered.
