Steven Van Zandt has released previews of music from his upcoming albums of songs from his television series, “Lilyhammer.”

Little Steven Van Zandt has released two songs as a preview of his two upcoming albums of music from his television series “Lilyhammer.”

“Lilyhammer Nocturne (Theme From Lilyhammer),” from Lilyhammer The Score — Volume 1: Jazz , is breezy and swinging. “Espresso Martini,” from Lilyhammer The Score — Volume 2: Folk, Rock, Rio, Bits and Pieces, is gritty and bluesy. You can listen to both below.

The albums will be released July 12.

The music is credited to Little Steven and the Interstellar Jazz Renegades, featuring Van Zandt on guitar and vocals, plus pianist Lee Musiker, saxophonist Stan Harrison, trumpeter Raul Agraz and others.

“I’m really proud of ‘Lilyhammer’ and the music I created for it,” said Van Zandt in a press release. “This was especially rewarding because it gave me the chance to finally do a score completely. This was a full commitment, I loved doing it and experimenting with sound and putting it to pictures and seeing what effect it has.”

“Lilyhammer,” which follows the adventures of New York mobster Tagliano while in the federal Witness Protection Program in Lillehammer, Norway, debuted on Norwegian television and Netflix in 2012, and ran for three seasons.

Van Zandt and his Disciples of Soul currently have no New Jersey shows scheduled but do have a number of shows in the Northeast, including ones at The Paramount in Huntington, N.Y., July 18; the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pa., July 20; the Orange County Fair in Middletown, N.Y., July 22; the State Theatre in Easton, Pa., July 26; and the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan, Nov. 6.
