Max Weinberg bringing Jukebox show back to the Stone Pony

by JAY LUSTIG

Max Weinberg will bring his Jukebox show to the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, June 16, with tickets going on sale Feb. 14.

Max Weinberg’s Jukebox, which presented a sold out show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park in August, will return to the oceanside venue on June 16, with tickets going on sale Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. A presale has actually started already (Password: PONY); visit stoneponyonline.com.

The E Street Band member is joined in this project by three members of The Weeklings: Bob Burger and John Merjave (both on guitar and vocals) and Glen Burtnik (on bass and vocals). Together, they perform a wide range of classic-rock songs — mostly requested by audience members — including material by The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Monkees and many others. “You pick the songs, we play ’em,” is the group’s motto.
