The Count Basie Theatre will present a concert by Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, June 25.

Monkees members Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz have announced the makeup date for their postponed June 25 concert at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank. It will be March 5.

Tickets for June 25 will be honored, and new tickets will go on sale Aug. 24 at noon via ticketmaster.com.

The show, titled “The Monkees Present the Mike Nesmith & Micky Dolenz Show,” will be part of the Citi Presents Little Steven’s Underground Garage at the Basie series, and will be hosted by Steven Van Zandt.

The original show was cancelled after Nesmith suffered severe shortness of breath during a soundcheck prior to a show at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pa., on June 21. After being rushed to the hospital, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and underwent quadruple bypass surgery.

Nesmith has also announced a September tour with his own First National Band Redux.

Postponed Nesmith & Dolenz shows at the Keswick, The Paramount in Huntington, N.Y., and the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan will now take place on March 6, 8 and 9, respectively.
