A Central Park concert will be the main attraction of NYC Homecoming Week.

More performers could still be added. But more than 20 are now confirmed for “WE LOVE NYC: The Homecoming Concert,” taking place on the Great Lawn of Central Park, Aug. 21 at 5 p.m., with a live broadcast on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español, and online availability through CNN as well.

Musicians and other participants will include Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Jennifer Hudson, Carlos Santana, Earth Wind & Fire, Andrea Bocelli, Elvis Costello, Wyclef Jean, LL Cool J, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, The Killers, Rob Thomas, Jimmy Fallon, Journey, Barry Manilow, The New York Philharmonic, Jon Batiste, Kane Brown, Cynthia Erivo, Polo G, Lucky Daye, Gayle King and Don Lemon.

Springsteen has said he will be doing only a short guest appearance with Smith, but that could change now that The Killers (with whom he recently collaborated) and Elvis Costello (whom he has a lot of history with) are now in the lineup.

According to the city of New York’s web site, the concert is “a celebration of New York City’s comeback” and “will promote health, safety, and equity.” Proof of vaccination will be required for entry. Eighty perfect of the tickets will be free but non-free VIP tickets, with preferred seating and other amenities, will also be available.

Both free and VIP tickets will become available Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. (visit NYC.Gov/HomecomingWeek), with a pre-sale for Citi cardmembers beginning July 29 at 10 a.m. at citientertainment.com or ticketmaster.com.

“Homecoming Week” events will be taking place throughout the five boroughs from Aug. 14 to Aug. 22, though a list of them is not yet available.
