NJ venues will be part of Concert Across America to End Gun Violence

More than 100 venues across the country, including fivein New Jersey, will participatein The Concert Across America to End Gun Violence, Sept. 25.

The primary goal of the concerts is to raise awareness about gun violence. Some venues may raise money for anti-gun organizations as well.

These are the Jersey venues that will be presenting events, though more could be added:

ATLANTIC CITY: Boneyard Bar and Grill. Performers will include End November, Quasimodo’s Bride, Weary Travelers, Pool of Thorns and James Cutlass and the Wisterias.

BAPTISTOWN: Old Stone Church: Performerswill includeGordon Ward, Bill Hall,Carolann Solebello, Nalani & Sarina, Efrat, Katherine Rondeau, Emily Barnes and Mike Herz.

EWING TOWNSHIP: Trinity UMC:Performers will include Jeffrey Gaines, Corey Glover, Miche Braden, The May Darlings and Kevin John Allen.

MONTCLAIR: Ruthie’s BBQ and Pizza: Performers will include Big Mamou and Samad Savage.

WEST WINDSOR: Grover’s Mill Coffee House:Performers will includeAnker, Barry Bassen, Erik Regul, Stephanie Chin and CJ Barna.

A Sept. 25 Concert Across America to End Gun Violence event is scheduled for the Beacon Theatre in New York, with Jackson Browne, Rosanne Cash, Marc Cohn and Harlem’s Gospel for Teens performing.

In 2007, Sept. 25 was officially designated as the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. The Concert Across American to End Gun Violence has been spearheaded byStop Handgun Violence, Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence and other organizations.For information, visit concertacrossamerica.org.
