Singer-pianist Davell Crawford, guitarist Russell Malone and tuba master Howard Johnson — who has played with everyone from Charles Mingus to John Lennon throughout his long career, which began in the 1960s — will be among the performers in The Newark Museum’s 52nd annual Jazz in the Garden series.
The series, which takes place in the museum’s Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Garden, will feature music on five consecutive Thursday afternoons in July and August, though it will open and close with Friday night concerts, June 23 and Aug. 11.
Admission is $5 for afternoon performances, $25 ($15 for members) for evening shows. Visit newarkmuseum.org.
