JAKE THISTLE
Jake Thistle, a rising star on the New Jersey rock scene, will be part of the upcoming season of ABC television’s “American Idol.”
Thistle, who performed at a Light of Day show at Asbury Lanes last night and has several more Light of Day appearances planned for this weekend, posted today on Facebook:
As most of you know, I’ve been having a blast recording the new record, and with that release on the horizon, my management and I were looking for some fun ways to introduce the music to a bigger audience. So, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be part of the upcoming season of @americanidol on ABC! Was an honor to head down to Nashville and play for the great team they have along with a lot of other singer/songwriters. The season premieres on January 26th.
Thistle, a Paramus native and recent Rutgers University graduate, turned 21 last year. Click HERE to read my most recent interview with him, or HERE to visit his website.
This will be the 24th season of “American Idol.” Ryan Seacrest will host, with Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood serving as judges.
