The North to Shore Festival takes place over three weeks in June in three different New Jersey cities.

Halsey, Demi Lovato, Santana, Alanis Morissette, Stephen Colbert and Jim Gaffigan will be among the attractions in this year’s inaugural edition of the North to Shore Festival, devoted to music, comedy, film and technology. Other artists among the dozens to perform will include Bill Burr, Marisa Monte, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Brian Fallon, The Smithereens, Remember Jones (playing songs from Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell album), The B-52’s, Natalie Merchant and Jay Wheeler.

A first-of-its-kind endeavor, the festival will take place in three cities in three different parts of New Jersey over three successive weeks: Atlantic City, June 4-11; Asbury Park, June 14-18; and Newark, June 21-25.

Festival details were announced at a press conference at NJPAC in Newark, March 13. Speakers included Gov. Phil Murphy; First Lady Tammy Murphy; NJPAC president CEO John Schreiber; and the mayors of the three cities.

Schreiber called the festival “the brainchild” of the Murphys. He also said that the events announced today represents “only the beginning,” and that “we’ll be adding many more concerts, lectures and conversations in the weeks to come.”

NJPAC is producing the festival in collaboration with Montclair Film, the Newark International Film Festival, TechUnited and other organizations.
