Nominees have been announced for the New Jersey Hall of Fame’s class of 2021.

The New Jersey Hall of Fame has announced the 50 nominees for the next class, and invited the public to vote via its web site. Among the nominees are Patti Smith, Lesley Gore and the Jonas Brothers in Performing Arts as well as Junot Díaz and Gay Talese in Arts & Letters; Alexander Hamilton — how is it possible that he’s not in already! — and Antonin Scalia in Public Service; and a trio of Giants (Lawrence Taylor, Phil Simms and Bill Parcells) in Sports.

The induction ceremony will be in October. According to the hall, public votes will be accepted through May 31, and those receiving the most votes in each category will be automatically inducted. Honorees will be formally inducted in a red carpet ceremony in October.
