George Street Playhouse will present “An Old-Fashioned Family Murder” in October and November.
It has been announced that Sally Struthers will co-star in George Street Playhouse’s upcoming production of “An Old-Fashioned Family Murder,” a comedic murder mystery by Joe DiPietro (“Memphis,” “Clever Little Lies,” “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” “The Toxic Avenger”) that premiered last year at New Theatre & Restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas.

Struthers — best known for co-starring in the groundbreaking ’70s sitcom “All in the Family,” and recently seen in the Netflix series “A Man on the Inside” — also appeared in this play, in Overland Park.
“Her one-liner delivery is flawless,” wrote Alan Portner in his BroadwayWorld.com review of the production. “I’ve seldom heard stronger audience reaction to a comedy.”
“An Old-Fashioned Family Murder” will run from Oct. 14 to Nov. 2 at The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. For tickets, visit georgestreetplayhouse.org.
This is the seventh work by DiPietro (a Bergen County native and Rutgers University graduate) that George Street Playhouse has produced. DiPietro has been nominated for three Tonys (for “Memphis” and “Nice Work If You Can Get It”) and won two (both for “Memphis”).
“An Old-Fashioned Family Murder” will kick off George Street’s 2025-26 season, which will be its 52nd.
