The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has announced its 2023 season.

Works by Tennessee Williams, Samuel Beckett and, of course, William Shakespeare, will be among the offerings of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s 61st season, which will take place mostly at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre at Drew University in Madison, though it will also include an outdoor production at the Greek amphitheater at Saint Elizabeth University in Florham Park.

“Complete Works” subscription renewals and memberships are now on sale. Subscriptions including smaller, flexible packages will go on sale in March, and single tickets in early April. For information, visit ShakespeareNJ.org.

Here is the season:

May 31-June 18: “The Rose Tattoo,” the 1951 drama (and winner for Best Play in the Tony Awards that year) by Tennessee Williams. “The Rose Tattoo” was also made into movie co-starring Anna Magnani and Burt Lancaster in 1955.

July 5-30 (outdoor production): “Shipwrecked! An Entertainment – The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (as Told by Himself).” Donald Margulies’ 2007 play about a 19th century explorer sharing tales about his own life.

July 12-30: “And a Nightingale Sang …” C.P. Taylor’s bittersweet 1977 comedy about a family living in London during World War II.

Sept. 13-Oct. 1: “Waiting for Godot.” Samuel Beckett’s 1953 Theatre of the Absurd landmark.

Oct. 18-Nov. 5: “A Man for All Seasons.” Robert Bolt’s 1960 play (made into a 1966 film starring Paul Scofield) about Thomas More, the religious leader and politician who clashed with King Henry VIII in the 1500s.

Dec. 6-31: “A Midwinter Night’s Dream.” Shakespeare’s beloved comedy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” with the action moved from summer to winter.
