Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will present a “Stupid Cupid” show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Feb. 16.
Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday in 2018, and on Friday of that week, Feb. 16, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes will present a Valentine’s Day-themed show titled “Stupid Cupid” at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
The band posted the information on Facebook tonight (here), soon before the scheduled starting time of their New Year’s Eve show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. Tickets, priced at $43, go on sale at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1 via Ticketmaster.
Southside and the Jukes traditionally present a show or shows with an unusual theme at the Stone Pony in February.
“In winter, everybody needs a break, we need a break, and so we try to find new things to do,” Southside told me in a 2015 interview.
The Count Basie Theatre show is scheduled to air live on SiriusXM satellite radio.
