Bruce Springsteen announces new releases in his archival music series on the first Friday of every month. This month, he ventures back to July 25, 1992, for a show with the group that came to be known as his Other Band, at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford.

The setlist (see below) included many songs from his then-new Human Touch and Lucky Town albums. The biggest surprise was a rare cover of Wilson Pickett’s 1966 hit, “Ninety-Nine and a Half (Won’t Do).”

This was the second of 11 shows that Springsteen presented at the Meadowlands that summer. The stand began on July 23 and stretched to Aug. 10.

Patti Scialfa duetted on “Brilliant Disguise” and “Tougher Than the Rest. Other musicians included keyboardist Roy Bittan, drummer Zack Alford, guitarist Shane Fontayne, bassist Tommy Sims, guitarist-percussionist-saxophonist Crystal Taliefero, and backing vocalists Gia Ciambotti, Carol Dennis, Cleopatra Kennedy, Bobby King and Angel Rogers.

Downloads are available now and CDs can be ordered at live.brucespringsteen.net.
