According to a post on the Asbury Park Press’ web site, app.com, Steven Van Zandt and his Disciples of Soul band will perform at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, April 22, as part of the Asbury Park Music and Film Festival. (The Asbury Park Press is a festival sponsor.)

Tickets, priced from $49 to $249, will go on sale March 24 at 10 a.m. through the festival website, apmff.org, and Ticketmaster, according to the post.

As previously announced, Southside Johnny and former E Street Band members Vini Lopez, David Sancious and Ernest “Boom” Carter will participate in jam session at the theater the previous night, also as part of the festival.

The Disciples of Soul, originally active in the ’80s, recently performed in Maryland, but this is their only other currently known U.S. reunion show. They will have a string of European dates this summer.

(April 4 Update: Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul have added a 4 p.m. April 21 show at the Asbury Park nightclub House of Independents that will be taped for the public television show, “Front & Center.” Tickets go on sale at noon April 7 at apmff.org and the House of Independents box office.)
