Two of the most dynamic blues/rock/soul bands around — The Tedeschi Trucks Band and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings — are teaming up for a tour, Wheels of Soul, that will make its lone Jersey stop at the QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, July 26. Guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, a former member of Eric Clapton’s band, will also be performing.

Singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi and her husband, longtime Allman Brothers Band guitarist Derek Trucks, lead the large, versatile, Grammy-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band.

The three groups will play for about 4½ hours combined, in the afternoon, so this almost constitutes a mini-festival within the balloon festival.

The annual festival takes place July 24-26; other groups scheduled to perform include former Eagles member Don Felder, July 24; Kansas, July 25; and Sabrina Carpenter, July 25.

The festival takes place at the Solberg Airport in Readington. For information, visit balloonfestival.com. Lawn seating for the concerts is included with festival admission, though reserved seating close to the stage is also available, for an extra fee. For Wheels of Souls, the seating is priced from $85 to $125, with festival admission, VIP parking and other amenities included.
