NJPAC in Newark will begin presenting concerts again this summer.
NJPAC in Newark has announced plans to begin presenting indoor shows, once again, this summer, with tickets to some shows (as yet unannounced) going on sale next week. The venue has been closed for more than a year due to the pandemic.
“For the past year, we’ve been preparing for the moment we can safely welcome audiences back to NJPAC,” said NJPAC president and CEO John Schreiber in a press release.
Attendees will be required to show evidence of a negative COVID-19 test within three days of the performance, or a vaccination card showing they received the necessary shot or shots at least 14 days before the show. There will also be touchless temperature checks at the door, and masks will be required. The theater’s air filtration system has been upgraded, and seating will follow the government’s social distancing requirements.

“It is our goal to ensure that NJPAC is the safest performing arts space in the region,” said NJPAC executive producer David Rodriguez in the press release. “Should government regulations and CDC guidance change in the future, these policies will be adjusted.”
