BOB WOODWARD

Journalist Bob Woodward will make an appearance at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., that is being billed as “An Evening With Bob Woodward: The State of the American Presidency.”

Tickets go on sale Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.; visit stnj.org/event/bob-woodward. There will also be a pre-sale for theater benefactors, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m.

(Nov. 17 Update: Former Gov. Christine Todd Whitman has been added to the event, as the moderator.)

Woodward, 75, first gained fame for his Washington Post reporting on the Watergate scandal, and was portrayed by Robert Redford in the 1976 movie, “All the President’s Men.” He has written many best-selling books about politics since then, including “Fear: Trump in the White House,” which was released on Sept. 11.

“Fear” sold 1.1 million copies in its first week, making it the best-selling book in the history of its publisher, Simon & Schuster. It paints an unflattering portrait of the president, who has tweeted that “is a Joke — just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources.”
