Video of Bruce Springsteen’s Oct. 31 interview on “The Howard Stern Show” will air on HBO on Nov. 27 (the Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend), Stern announced on his show this morning. He said it would air after “The White Lotus,” which would mean 10 p.m.
There will presumably be repeats and streaming availability on HBO Max, as well.
Stern said he had the idea to make the video — currently viewable only by SiriusXM subscribers — more widely available, and Springsteen readily agreed.
“I just said to Bruce on the phone … ‘Man, I just think this was the greatest. I want to see more people seeing it.’ And he said, ‘Me, too,’ and that was it.
“So I think it was really a special moment. I thought Bruce Springsteen was generous, loose as a goose. The guy is singing, he’s talking … For those of you who have seen it on the SiriusXM app, you know what I’m talking about. And now, people who don’t have SiriusXM and have the HBO situation on their cable, they’ll be able to see it.”‘
The interview lasted two hours and 14 minutes.
