More than 60 artists — including Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Willie Nile, Jesse Malin and Low Cut Connie — will perform in the virtual Feb. 12-14 Light of Day festival, which can be seen on Facebook and YouTube.

Jett, of course, sang the Bruce Springsteen-written song “Light of Day” with co-star Michael J. Fox in the 1987 movie of the same name. (see video below) But she never has performed at a Light of Day event before.

Others in the lineup will include The Weeklings, Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, Dramarama, Steve Forbert, James Maddock, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan, Jeffrey Gaines, Ed “Kingfish” Manion, John Eddie, Williams Honor, Jill Hennessy, Ben Arnold, Bruce Tunkel, Adam Ezra, Joe Rapolla and Brian Dunne. Musicians are also invited to produce their own livestreams, which Light of Day will promote throughout the day on Feb. 13. (Feb. 1 Update: More acts and the daily lineup has been announced; see here.)

As in the past, this Light of Day will raise money to fight Parkinson’s Disease and related ailments. Donations can be made at lightofday.org/donate.

“Even in times of Covid 19, Light of Day WinterFest 2021 will happen, albeit virtually and a month later!,” said Light of Day co-founder and executive director Tony Pallagrosi in a press release. “The greater Asbury Park musical community as well as some very special guests will come together for 3 days of virtual streaming to raise money and awareness …. As they say, the show must gone on and thanks to the passion of our artists, sponsors, supporters and our good friend technology, it will.”

Though taking place online, Light of Day performances will be grouped together in shows. These will include:

Feb. 12, 2 and 7 p.m.: Winter “Love” Fest Kickoff
Feb. 13, 2 and 7 p.m.: Main Event: Bob’s Birthday Bash
Feb. 14, 2 and 7 p.m.: Songwriters by the Sea
