Garland Jeffreys will perform at a Light of Day benefit concert at the Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair on Jan. 10.
More details have been announced about the North and South Jersey Light of Day concerts that will be held in January, joining the series of fundraising concerts that are held annually in Asbury Park. And some names that are very familiar to New Jersey rock fans are on the bills.
Light of Day WinterFest 2015 — South Jersey will be held Jan. 9 at Hebe’s Music Lounge at Big Shots Bar and Grill in Burlington, and star Dramarama’s John Easdale, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan, Stone Baby, the Peace Creeps (featuring Richard Bush of the A’s), Soraia and NYTROUS. Veteran DJ Michael Tearson, currently with SiriusXM satellite radio, will host. Advance tickets, priced at $10, will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. The day of the show, they will be $14.
Light of Day WinterFest 2015 — North Jersey will take place the next day, Jan. 10, at the Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair, and will star Garland Jeffreys and Band, James Maddock and Band, Steve Conte NYC (led by the New York Dolls guitarist) and Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan. Advance tickets, priced at $35, will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. They will be $40 at the door.
There will also be a Light of Day Winterfest 2015 show at The Cutting Room in New York, with the lineup and ticket details to be announced at a later date.
The festival will bring more than 150 acts to 30 venues in New Jersey in New York over 12 days. Tickets to most of the shows went on sale last weekend through Ticketmaster.com.
Last year’s Light of Day shows raised $425,000 for Parkinson’s Disease research, bringing the 14-year total for the festival to around $2.5 million.
