The legendary gospel singer Mavis Staples has been added to the lineup of the XPoNential Music Festival, taking place July 22-24 in Camden.
The festival — also featuring artists such as Alabama Shakes, Brandi Carlile, Ryan Adams, Gary Clark Jr., Femi Kuti and Josh Ritter — takes place at both the BB&T Pavilion amphitheater (formerly the Susquehanna Bank Center) and nearby Wiggins Park. Staples, the former Staple Singers lead vocalist who opened for Bob Dylan at the Borgata in Atlantic City on Sunday and concludes her series of dates with him on July 17, will perform at Wiggins Park at 3:55 p.m. July 24.
The annual festival, presented by Philadelphia radio station WXPN (88.5 FM), has also announced set times for all its acts. Here they are. (For more information, visit xpnfest.org.)
