The 2021 edition of NJPAC’s annual Spotlight Gala will be presented as a television and internet special titled “Perfect Harmony.” It airs Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. on NJ PBS and online, at no charge, on MyNJPBS.org/live.
The show’s lineup represents an impressive array of vocal talent, with Tony-winning Broadway star Kelli O’Hara and Bobby McFerrin joined by the vocal groups Manhattan Transfer, Take 6, Naturally 7 and Under the Streetlamp.
Also, Toby and Leon G. Cooperman and the Cooperman Family will be honored with NJPAC’s Founders Award during the gala for their contributions in the fields of medicine, education and the performing arts and their support of the Cooperman Family Arts Education and Community Center. The center will house NJPAC’s arts education and community engagement programs beginning in 2024.
NJPAC’s annual Spotlight Galas, organized by its advocacy organization Women@NJPAC (formerly known as The Women’s Board of NJPAC and The Women’s Association of NJPAC) and usually taking place at the Newark venue, have raised more than $55 million over the years.
