Brookside Cabaret 2021

The Brookside Cabaret at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn will return this summer.

The Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn created its Brookside Cabaret series last summer, in response to the pandemic, and will resume it next month, starting shows on June 9. The series features music — in some cases, by singer-actors who have appeared at the Paper Mill and/or on Broadway — for patrons who sit at tables, with food available from the Paper Mill’s F.M. Kirby Carriage House Restaurant.

Paper Mill producing artistic director Mark S. Hoebee said in a press release that last year, “we just wanted to bring live performance back to Paper Mill in whatever way we could” and that he considers the 2020 series to have been “a huge hit with both audiences and artists.”

Here is the initial schedule, with all shows scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. More artists are expected to be announced.
