The antidote to fear is love. From his travels in the United Kingdom, rock icon Dennis Dunaway — bassist and co-songwriter for the original Alice Cooper band and the author of the 2015 memoir, “Snakes! Guillotines! Electric! Chairs! My Adventures in the Alice Cooper Group” — sent NJArts.net and its readers a message of love and hope (see video below), in response to its new Songs to See Us Through series.

Joined by his wife Cindy Dunaway — who helped create the style of glam-rock as the clothing designer for Cooper and his band — Dunaway sings a bit of the Beatles classic “All You Need Is Love” from the John Lennon Suite of the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool. Standing near a white baby grand piano, the couple reminds us to wash hands, don’t touch your face and keep love alive during our separation from community.

Dunaway tours now with the band Blue Coupe, featuring Albert and Joe Bouchard of Blue Öyster Cult. For more on the band, visit bluecoupeband.com.

He and Cindy know from love as they have been happily married for decades; when you see them together, they act like newlyweds.

Love those you have near during these days of coronavirus, or call a friend and remain connected.
