Little Steven at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, Nov. 14.
Little Steven Van Zandt and his Disciples of Soul band, who have a show scheduled for tonight at the O2 Academy in Liverpool, took advantage of the opportunity to present a short, mid-day show at Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club, which served as a kind of home base for The Beatles in their early years, and has a capacity of about 350.
“Rock ‘n’ roll is my religion. This is mecca, baby, right here,” said Van Zandt.

The show featured no songs from the Disciples of Souls’ usual repertoire, and was devoted to Beatles songs, and covers that The Fab Four played in their early days.
