The Jersey-based roots-rock band Railroad Earth and NRBQ, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year will co-headline the 13th annual Maplewoodstock, a free event taking place at Memorial Park in Maplewood, July 9-10.
Railroad Earth will close the first night, and NRBQ — featuring original member Terry Adams on keyboards and vocals, along with Scott Ligon on guitar and vocals, Casey McDonough on bass and vocals, and and John Perrin on drums — will close the second.
Singer-songwriters Maya Azucena and Nicole Atkins have also been confirmed for the first and second nights, respectively. The complete lineups are not available, though. Visit maplewoodstock.com for more information and updates.
The Wailers and Rusted Root co-headlined Maplewoodstock last year. Artists who have performed at the festival over the years include Robert Randolph & the Family Band, The Smithereens, Puss N Boots (featuring Norah Jones), Marshall Crenshaw, Raul Malo and Joan Osborne.
