Sandy Duncan will star in a one-night-only reading of “Driving Miss Daisy” at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, March 21.

The event, which is part of the theater’s Celebrity Event Series, will also feature Kevyn Morrow — appearing on his night off from the current Broadway revival of “The Color Purple” — and Bob Hess. Tickets are $25, with a limited number of $50 tickets including admission to a post-show “meet and greet” with the artists. Visit georgestreetplayhouse.org.

The 1987 play, written by Alfred Uhry, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and was made into an Oscar-winning film co-starring Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman in 1989.

Eric Woodall is directing the reading; he previously directed the cast in a full production of the play at North Carolina Theatre in Raleigh.
