Springsteen plays ‘The River’ for first time on current tour (WATCH VIDEO)

“This is for Birmingham,” said Bruce Springsteen before performing “The River” for the first time on his current tour at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, June 16. You can watch the video below.

Springsteen’s 1980 The River album has been underrepresented, so far, on the tour, with only one song, “Out in the Street,” being played regularly.

“My Hometown,” played for the first time on the tour by Springsteen and the E Street Band on their last show, June 13 in Zurich, made it into the setlist again, immediately before “The River.” Here is the entire setlist, according to setlist.fm.
