Bruce Springsteen will interview Steven Van Zandt at a promotional event for Van Zandt’s memoir, Oct. 17.

Steven Van Zandt, who has previously announced an Oct. 3 appearance at Succeed2gether’s fifth annual Montclair Literary Festival to promote his autobiography “Unrequited Infatuations” (due out Sept. 28), has at least two more promotional appearances in New Jersey lined up.

In a benefit for his TeachRock organization, Bruce Springsteen will interview him at an Oct. 17 event in Asbury Park whose location has not been disclosed. The event will also include a panel discussion, moderated by Jon Stewart, that will feature Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau, Nona Hendryx and Steve Buscemi, with “additional guests to be announced soon,” according to the advertisement above. (UPDATE: This event is sold out.)

(UPDATE: A Sept. 28 interview of Van Zandt by Springsteen, including answers to questions submitted by viewers, will be streamed. Visit stevieandbrucelive.com for information.)

Van Zandt will also make an appearance at the Books and Greetings bookstore in Northvale, Sept. 28. (UPDATE: This event has been cancelled because of COVID concerns.)

In New York, Van Zandt will appear in conversation with writer Jay Cocks at the 92nd Street Y, Sept. 29. This event will be streamed for those who want to watch online.

Signed copies of the book can be ordered at hachettebookgroup.com.

Van Zandt posted on Twitter, yesterday, about the live events: “While I am trying to do a handful of live events it is very important that people who might come NOT expect to have books personalized. There will be discussion about the book. And answering audience questions. No signing, no pictures, no close contact. For all our sakes.”
