Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band performed at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, April 7.

Rage Against the Machine member Tom Morello — an occasional Bruce Springsteen collaborator since 2008, who did a stint as a touring E Street Band member in 2014 — performed and took dynamic guitar solos on two songs at the group’s April 7 concert at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

At the bottom of this post, you can watch videos of both songs, as well as one of the show-opening “Open All Night,” which featured the hard-swinging arrangement Springsteen started using for this Nebraska song on the Seeger Sessions Tour in 2006.

“The Ghost of Tom Joad,” “American Skin (41 Shots)” and “Open All Night” were all tour debuts. As he did at the group’s April 4 concert at The Kia Forum, Springsteen duetted with his wife Patti Scialfa (who hasn’t performed much on the current tour) on two songs, “Tougher Than the Rest” and “Fire.” Other notable numbers in the 31-song show included “Detroit Medley” (an an encore), “Sherry Darling” (a sign request) and “Hungry Heart.”

Springsteen and The E Street Band will return to the Northeast for their next show, April 12 at The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
