On X (Twitter), Van Zandt has joked, “I hope it has a happy ending!” and also written: “It’s quite an honor. Not only that the film was chosen by the Tribeca Film Festival, but that somebody had the interest and respect and dedication to make a movie about my life. A gift I cannot take for granted.”

Among those interviewed for the film were Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Darlene Love, Eddie Vedder, Bono, Jackson Browne, Peter Wolf, David Chase and Maureen Van Zandt.

Bill Teck directed the 147-minute film. His previous credits include “One Day Since Yesterday: Peter Bogdanovich & the Lost American Film” and “Cuba on My Back: Cuba, the USA and the 90 Miles in Between.”

Van Zandt’s next show with Springsteen and the E Street Band will take place in Madrid, June 12.
