The State Theatre in New Brunswick will offer tickets to five upcoming shows via its “Broadway Singing Contest.”

As part of its ongoing effort to create online content for its patrons during the pandemic, the State Theatre in New Brunswick is holding a “Broadway Singing Contest.”

In this free contest, participants (15 years old or older) will record a video of themselves singing a Broadway song of their choice, upload it to YouTube, and fill out an entry form at STNJ.org/broadway-singing-contest.

There is no deadline yet, but at some point, videos of three finalists will be posted online, and will be voted on by the general public. The winner will be announced along with the theater’s 2020-21 Broadway Series.

The winner will receive pairs of tickets to all five shows in the Broadway Series.

The contest is part of the theater’s Culture Fix program, which offers performance and interview videos, games and trivia, children’s activities and more, at STNJ.org/culturefix.
